So what are two U.S. expats doing in amsterdam anyways? Well, it’s a bit of a long story, so we’ll start with the condensed version.
Elena always dreamed of living abroad, and when she puts her mind to something, there’s no stopping her. once she discovered a viable visa, we packed our bags, corralled our 4 kids + 2 dogs, sold our stuff, and loaded onto an airplane destined for a grand new adventure!
She brought some of her clients with her, but with the change of scenery came a need to make something new for both of us. And thus, Beck Branding was born.

“The Magic City” -
After graduating from the Creative Circus, Elena rode straight into the world of design and quickly settled into branding and packaging. But after almost a decade in the field, she changed course and pivoted her creative talents into cake decorating. Shortly after graduating from The French Pastry School Chicago, she started The Fox & The Cake, a boutique cake studio specializing in scratch-made celebration and wedding cakes. But after a while, the urge to ride the road of branding and packaging called to her, and she re-entered the field with new-found energy and perspective.

Jeff’s route into brand strategy was unconventional, having studied mechanical engineering in school, entering the workforce in retail management, then making a career transition over to the world of branding and packaging. It’s been over a decade since that fateful pivot and he’s never looked back. His roles at agencies have spanned everything from client services to creative strategy working on brands large and small, established and emerging. As a natural problem solver, he loves peddling head-first into creative challenges.
